Chapter Three – The Unavoidable

Although somewhat disappointed Sandy was relieved that Mark wasn’t on the train the next morning. Not she didn’t want to see him, she did. It was just that her mind wouldn’t let go of him as a character in a story and she was finding it difficult to separate fact from fiction. She feared that her mind may persuade her to do things in her factual world that she knew that she must not.

The previous night her husband had been away and a night without making love to him was purgatory. Determined not to allow Mark or his character into her sexual activities Sandy denied herself even the facility of self pleasure so slept fitfully, waking from time to time finding her hand tightly grasping at her pussy.

At midday Sandy persuaded herself that she had been intending all along going for a drink at the brasserie. The usual crowd were there and she greeted them as usual. She looked around casually just in case Mark was there and relief was tinged with disappointment when she didn’t see him.

One girlfriend seeing her scanning the room whispered to her with an all knowing giggle, “He went to the little boy's room, don’t worry”.
